I agree - saying that only one religion is correct and all others are not makes as much sense as saying only one restaurant is correct. The wise person picks what s/he considers the most palatable morsels from any restaurant.
Re "In my opinion. the Akashik Records does not explain precognition". I wouldn't say the Akashic Records 'explain' anything - in part because my own understanding of what the Akashic Records are is shaped far more by my understanding of consciousness and physics than it is by my knowledge of Hindu doctrine. The theory of the Akashic Records,
as I understand it, dovetails nicely with my own take on theories of a cosmic collective unconsciousness.
Many Occultists and meta-physicists hold that consciousness and self awareness are time-bound processes - this makes sense as to be aware of something it must be perceived in time. The subconscious however is generally consider to be not time-bound - it exists outside of time.
Not knowing much about your thoughts on Emotional Echoes (beyond what is obvious from the term) I am interested to hear more about this idea.
For me the idea of a collective cosmic subconsciousness is not an 'explanation' - it is a useful model or mental construct that can facilitate greater understanding. I have a fundamental distrust about 'explanations'. Mankind's history is full of perfectly reasonable sounding explanations that on further study turn out to inaccurate and misleading. Consequently I prefer theories over facts. As a trained Occultist I find it more effective to assume that whatever I'm told, or whatever I conclude there is something wrong and something right about it but invariably what we see is NOT what we are really getting.
Your comments about an empty canvas are interesting. I subscribe to the idea that "I am a centre of expression of the primal will to good that eternally creates and sustains the universe" (To Quote from the Emerald Tablet of Hermes Tresmegistus). As a writer, musician, artist, visionary, healer and Wizard I see myself as a portal through which expression flows. I'm like a radio playing the music but the actual signal comes not from me but through me. This is especially true in improvisational Performance Art or when jamming with mates on guitars - I don't know what I'm going to play till I've played it - it comes through me not from me. My beliefs and theories and understandings of this world appear to me to work in much the same way - but that's getting into a whole other topic
