Yeah the two free options are a bit limited on content, they are a bit of a tease to get you to buy the full thing

It's worse than that; when I bought the full Vue 7 Infinite I tried loading one sample scene that had a waterfall in it and the scene wouldn't load - it said I had to first purchase the waterfall from cornucopia3d

Also there was a disclaimer with the product that said that all the objects and sample scenes supplied with Vue 7 remained the copyright of the people who created them and so I'm not free to use them in any images I produce. I thought that stunk a bit after spending so much. Truespace doesn't come with a huge amount of content but you're free to use it in whatever work you like. (grumble, grumble)

I didn't realise you can't use geometry from Poser in games, that remains the property Curious Labs.. which is a bugger when you have one in a game!

Edit,
I bought 3D Artist as well, I tried the open beta of Carrara7 but had problems on this PC, but Daz stuff usually works fine on my Vista one, plus for the price you can't go wrong!

Still haven't found Constellations/planets/outerspace stuff yet. Found this in the manual: (looks like I might be out of luck)

Just noticed there is a free tutorial on rocks and planets in the beginners section at geekatplay - second from the bottom:

http://www.geekatplay.com/vuetutorialsnew.php

Aaarghh! Everybody keeps talking about geekatplay.com and all the cool stuff there and I don't have time to visit it myself!

This actually bugs me with some 3d programs. That is the same as 3D world studio. cheap progam and all, but when i bought this product, i bought the so called builder edition which came with some free content. And at the time there were promises that as time went on, there would be more content added to it. Sure they did add some new content and all. But all the content that was added was in the program makers own format and could not be used outside the program.
And what happend? well next thing you know in the forums for the program you get alot of these type threads........

When I export my textures do not show, any Ideas? or When I export some of the models are missing from my scene and ideas?

personally, I`ve said this once and will say it over again. If the maker does not want his or her content to be used in nothing but the program, Then keep it the hell out of the program. it only creates nothing but confusion.

Actually poser models for the most part you would`nt want to try in a game anyway, Unless your using the models for cut scenes or you reduce the poly coount in the models. Most poser models are just to high in poly for any real use. But as far as I know, you are or should be able to use them for cut scenes, as it is a video and not the actual media. And also it is perfectly legal to create reference pictures for your own 3d modeling. I know it is kinda of cheating but what I did once is I used and loaded a model from daz 3d, and just created a new model over it and of course making it much lower in poly and it worked out fine.

This whole copyright issue certainly confuses things. This is one of two main reasons why I almost always prefer to create my own original content. If I've made it myself I can use it however I like!

The other reason is it's just so much more satisfying for me to be able to look at something I've created and know I've done the whole thing myself.

This way you also end up with exactly what you want in the scene.

Of course there's no right or wrong way to do 3d art, there's just what works. Everyone makes their stuff for different reasons and I try not to judge to much.

it was in a little known engine called Awakening 3D, it can handle poser6 characters before theres any great reduction in preformance.. but yeah its not ideal, they are a total pain in the a** to get in the engine, the textures only work with early models with a single textures.. and finally they look like poser models!! DAZ stuff doesn't work at all
I never expected the game to work, so I just used the poser boy as a test bed, got him walking and interacting then built a game around him.. I suck at characters and bones anyway lol
